Inganekwane brings Zimbabwean isiNdebele folktales to children and families through natural English storytelling, while keeping the names and cultural words close.

A voice from home

Some stories travel a long way. They move from one voice to another, from a home in Zimbabwe to a family living somewhere new. This project is a place to enjoy those stories together and keep a connection to the language in their names and words.

One complete tale to begin

We begin with Buhlaluse Benkosi and Mbulumakhasana, using the English telling supplied and approved for this project by Lwazi Sibanda. Source and telling credits are recorded on the story’s introduction page. We will add stories as their text and sources are ready.
